Distinguished parents, and dear students, it is with immense pride and joy that we gather here to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Birla Public School, Doha. Over the past two decades, our institution has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the most esteemed educational establishments in Qatar. As we celebrate this significant milestone, we honor the vision of our founders and reflect on the journey that has brought us here today.

I would like to thank all of you, for the continued support due to which today Birla Public school has created a niche amongst all the Indian Schools and it is one of the most sought-after schools in the state of Qatar.

In the past 20 years we have made a mark in the field of scholastic, as well as co-scholastic areas. This year the school reached an important milestone - the 20th Year of Vicennial Service in education in Doha.

Academic Achievements: In the 2022-23 academic year, BPS continued to excel. Among 450 Senior Secondary students, the highest achiever was Larissa Tauro with 97.8% in Humanities. In the Science stream, three students topped with 96.4%, and in Commerce, Alen Renny Varughese led with 93.6%. Our integrated program also saw outstanding results, with many students excelling and securing seats in prestigious universities worldwide. Similarly, in Secondary School, Neha Chindu Susan emerged as the top scorer with 99.2%. The school recorded 84 centums and 1077 A1 grades across subjects.

ISO Certification and QNSA Accreditation: BPS became the first ISO-certified Indian school in Qatar, receiving two certifications for Educational Organisation Management and Quality Management Systems. Additionally, our Primary II campus at Al Hilal was awarded the prestigious Qatar National School Accreditation (QNSA) for three years.

Olympiad and Competition Successes: Our students shined in various Olympiads, securing top positions in National Science, Cyber, and Informatics Olympiads, among others. In the International French Spell Bee and French Competition, BPS students achieved remarkable success, including Zonal and International wins. Additionally, our students excelled in competitions organized by the Qatar Scientific Club and Carnegie Mellon University.

Co-Scholastic and Sports Achievements: BPS students demonstrated excellence in sports, becoming QPSDL National Champions in Debate and securing multiple medals in CBSE Cluster championships for handball, yoga, swimming, badminton, taekwondo, athletics, football, volleyball, table tennis, chess, and basketball. Our school emphasized individual records and achievements, which were presented in a comprehensive presentation available to parents.

Notable Events and Initiatives: BPS organized significant events like SIMULATION 2023, TEDxBirlaPublicSchool2023, and a pioneering parenting workshop, "Flying My Kite." We also hosted a comprehensive training program for Qatar Guides, collaborating with UNIQ for a year-long life skills program. Our international educational tour to NASA was a highlight, along with the Birla Book Fair and multiple career counseling sessions.

New Initiatives and Best Practices: Innovative programs such as "Teach besides me" in primary and KG sections, the introduction of clubs like the Eco Club and Kinesthetic Club, and the celebration of Nurses Day were launched. The BPS Channel and Birla Waves were initiatives to involve students in school communications. The "Mommy Mornings and Daddy Days" and "My Values Shape My Identity" projects fostered holistic development and cultural identity. We also introduced Design Thinking in middle school and Marketing as a skill subject in senior secondary levels.

HR and Wellness Initiatives: Our HR department celebrated World Gratitude Day, organized wellness sessions, and hosted fitness activities for staff. Initiatives like "Parent Morning" and "Coffee with Principal" encouraged parent-teacher collaboration, while educational field trips and mentorship programs supported students' academic growth.

In conclusion, BPS continues to set high standards in education, fostering academic excellence, co-scholastic achievements, and community engagement. We look forward to building on these successes in the years to come.
