Parents need to have knowledge about what the
teacher is like, why and how he/she handles the
children. Sometimes a child's
behaviour at school is very different from
his/her behaviour at home. To help the child,
parents and teachers should inform each other
about the child's routine behaviour as well as
unusual events.
Informal parent-teacher meetings once a month,
meeting of parent with teacher by prior
appointment, parents dropping in at school
before or after school hours are ways to get
parents and teachers to meet each other.
